Founded in 1987, the Aegean Airlines was initially named as Aegean Aviation. The Aegean Airlines is based in Athens in Greece and is the second largest in the nation. The main base airport is Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport. Also, these airlines have a hub at Thessaloniki International Airport. Initially formed as a business air operation, the first scheduled passenger services of Aegean Airlines took off in May 1999.
