The national airline of Botswana, the Air Botswana was founded in the year 1972 and based in Gaborone. Scheduled domestic and regional services are provided by the airline and also domestic flights. Even charter flights are also available by the airline service. The main hub of Air Bostwana is Sir Seretse Khama International Airport.
Established to succeed Botswana Airways which had taken over Botswana National Airways in 1969, the Air Botswana was taken over by the government in April 1988.
The present Air Botswana has a fleet size of 6 aircrafts which fly to around 9 destinations. 3 of the fleet are ATR 42-500 aircrafts and the remaining are BAe 146-100. Johannesburg, Gaborone, Francistown, Maun, Kasane, Harare, Victoria Falls, Capetown and Windhoek are the destinations that are covered by the flights of Air Botswana.
The airline provides great hospitality to the passengers in the form of services and to them and also with the cargo. Complementary meals, snacks, in flight shopping opportunity, on-board entertainment, escorts for sick people and minors are also provided.
