The national airline of Burkina Faso, the Air Burkina airline was established in 1967 under the name of Air Volta. With base in Ouagadougou in the country and the Ouagadougou International Airport as its hub, the Air Burkina flights cover 10 destinations out of which 1 is domestic (Bobo-Dioulasso) and Togo, Benin, Mali, Niger, Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana as the international destinations. Paris is the only destination that the airline connects to in the whole of Europe.
The fleet of the Air Burkina airlines consists of 5 aircrafts which include one each of Airbus A319-112, Fokker F28 and Saab 340B and also 2 McDonnell Douglas MD-87. The Airbus A319-112 has the capacity to sear 116 passengers whereas the Fokker has the capacity of 73 people and takes the domestic and African routes. Similar routes are taken up by the Saab 340B which seats 33 people and is operated by Norse Air.
Air Burkina provides great services and hospitaility to the passengers.
