The largest airline of Caribbean, Air Jamaica is the national airline of the country. It is based in Kingston in Jamaica and provides services to around 26 destinations. These services are only scheduled ones which fly mostly from the base hub airport which is the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston. Also, there is a hub which is secondary at Sangster International Airport at Montego Bay.
The airline was established in 1968 in the month of October and the operations actually started in April 1969. Ministry of Finance and the Public Service of Jamaica is the parent company of the Air Jamaica airlines. Around eighteen destinations are connected by Air Jamaica with a fleet of around 14 aircrafts. The destinations include Toronto, Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Nassau, Bridgetown, Havana, Grand Cayman, St. George’s, Kingston, Montego Bay, and Curacao. Out of the fleet of 14, Air Jamaica has 1 Airbus A319-100, 7 Airbus A320-200 and 6 Airbus A321-200.
