Based in Luqa in Malta, Air Malta is the national airline of the country. Around 36 destinations are connected all across Europe and North Africa from Malta. Malta International Airport is the hub base for the Air Malta Airlines. Air Malta is known to provide excellent services and hospitality to passengers.
The airline was launched in 1973 at the time when the country attained independence and another airline was liquidated. It is owned by the Government of Malta and presently has a fleet size of 14 aircrafts. The fleet has 5 Airbus A319-111 and 7 Airbus A320-200 aircrafts.
Many services are provided to the passengers flying with Air Malta. They can take a free fixed amount of weight with them in luggage. Extra baggage grant is given to those passengers who are carrying sports equipment. On-board entertainment is also provided to the passengers in the form of newspapers, magazines, audio and video.
