The international airline of Fiji, Air Pacific provides services for international and domestic travellers. The airline company Air Pacific is owned by the Fiji government and Qantas Airlines mainly. There are other companies which hold minor stakes too. The Air Pacific airlines have their headquarters in Nadi, Fiji and the main hub airport is the Nadi International Airport. A secondary airport, the Nausori International Airport is the secondary hub of the airlines.
Founded in 1947 by Harold Gatty who was an Australian aviator, the company worked under the name of Fiji Airways. The present fleet size of the airlines is 14 and the around 17 domestic and international airlines are covered by Air Pacific. The fleet consists of aircrafts like Britten-Norman Islander, de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter, ATR42-500, Boeing 737-700, Boeing 737-800, Boeing 767-300ER, Boeing 747-400 and Boeing 787-9.
