One of the two major airlines of Korea, Asiana Airlines has its headquarters in Seoul in South Korea. Asiana Airliens is a member of the Star Alliance. It provides services for passenger travel to around 77 destinations. Out of these, 12 of the destinations are domestic whereas the other 74 or so are international destinations. The headquarters of the airlines are located at Incheon International Airport. However, the domestic hub of the place is the Gimpo International Airport. The focus cities of the Asiana Airlines are Gimhae International Airport and Jeju International Airport.
With what was founded in the year 1988 as Seoul Air International which was meant to be the second flag carrier airline, the present day Asiana Airlines is owned by the Kumho Asiana Group. The airline has a codeshare agreement with many airlines all over the world. The present fleet of the Asiana Airlines consists of 68 aircrafts and also 31 orders more placed. Also, the airlines has tried and succeeded in trying to enhance its image as a modern corporate company. There are three classes which are offered in the airlines which are First class, Business class and Travel class. The airline has also been awarded a 5-star rating by Skytrax.
