Avianca is the second oldest airline in the world which was established in the year 1919. Since its establishment, the Avianca airlines have been the flag carrier airline for Colombia. Even though it was founded in Barranquilla, the present day headquarters and base are in Bogota. The El Dorado International Airport is the main hub airport of the airlines which lies close to the base city too. There are six subsidiary airlines for Avianca which are Helicol, SAM Colombia, Tampa Cargo, OceanAir, Aerogal and Capital Airlines.

The present fleet of the Avianca airline consists of 87 orders and also 86 more orders and 20 options. Around 49 destinations which just include Aviance and SAM destinations are connected by the flights of Avianca. The flights offer two classes to travel which are the business class and the tourist class. The destinations connected include Spain, Mexico, USA, Aruba, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, etc.
Frequent flyer programs are also made available by Avianca. Bonus miles, free tickets, tour packages, meals, drinks, music, shopping, baggage facilities, VIP lounges, escorts for minors are some of the services made available. |
