The national airline which is the flag carrier of Bulgaria is headquartered in the capital city Sofia and is called as Bulgaria Air. The airline provides scheduled services to destinations all over the continent as well as other parts of the world too. Two additional airlines are also owned by Bulgaria Air which is Hemus Air and Viaggio Air. The main airport hubs of the airline are Sofia International Airport, Varna Airport and the Bourgas Airport.
Bulgaria Air was founded in the year 2002 after the Balkan Bulgarian Airlines was dissolved. The airline has codeshare agreement with many leading airlines like Aeroflot, Air France, KLM, El Al, Air One, etc. The current fleet of the airline has 23 aircrafts which serve to connect 34 destinations. The destinations include Vienna, Brussels, Prague, Denmark, Paris, Copenhagen, Berlin, Frankfurt, Dublin, Tel Aviv, Lisbon, Moscow, Barcelona, Madrid, etc.
