China Airlines was established on December 16, 1959. It was founded by a retired air force officer with only two aircrafts. In the year 1960, it established its first domestic and international routes. In October 1962, it stated its first domestic service and on December 1, 1966, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam that became its first international destination.
China Airlines is the flag carrier of the Republic of China. The airline is owned by the China Aviation Development Foundation which in turn is owned by the government of the Republic of China.
The airline is based at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and it’s headquarter is located in Taipei. Domestic service of this airline is available across 67 cities and international services are available to 25 major countries across Asia, Europe, America and Oceania.
