Emirates Airlines was established on 25 May 1985 by the Dubai government. It is a subsidiary of The Emirates Group based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Initially, it started operating flights to Mumbai and Karachi. In July 1987, the first European destination was added. Today, it has developed to a great extend and has become one of the leading airlines in the region and connects the Middle East region with the rest of the world. At present, Emirates Airlines have more than 35,000 employees.
The main hub of Emirates Airlines is Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Emirates Airlines offers First Class, Business Class, Economy Class options.
Emirates Airlines flies to over 100 destinations in 56 countries. They provide services across North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Middle East.
The Emirates fleet consists of 116 aircraft as of October 2008.
