Georgian Airways is the national airline of the Caucasus republic of Georgia. It is based in the capital, Tbilisi. It was established and started operation in September 1994. It is a privately owned airline operating services from Georgia to destinations in Europe and the Middle East. In 1997, scheduled services were added. Later in November 1999, Airzena merged with Air Georgia to form Airzena Georgian Airlines and adopted the present title on 1 October 2004.
