Established in 2004, Ghana International Airlines is the flag carrier airline of Ghana, based in Accra, Ghana. The airline was initially set up as a partnership between the Government of Ghana and a group of private international investors. Later in 2005, Ghana International Airlines was designated as the national airline. It commenced operations on 29 October 2005 with daily flights between Accra and London Gatwick Airport using a Boeing 757.
