For the country of Montenegro, the main airlines are the Montenegro Airlines which has its headquarters at Podgorica. Also, the main hub airport of the airlines is the Podgorica Airport. The secondary hub of the airlines is also there at Tivat Airport. In addition to the scheduled flight services, charter flights are also run in the summer months in Europe. Flights are only international for the airlines since the two airports in the country are close to each other.
Montenegro Airlines was founded in the year 1994 but it was only in the year 1996 that the first aircraft was purchased. The first flight then took off from Podgorica to Italy in May, 1997. The present fleet size of the airlines is six along with two orders which have been placed already. These include a Fokker 100 and Embraer 195. A total of 12 destinations are connected through the flights of Montenegro Airlines. These include Vienna, Paris, Frankfurt, Budapest, Milan, Rome, Moscow, Belgrade, Zurich, Ljubljana, London, etc.
In the flights of Montenegro Airlines, the meals and drinks are complimentary and are of great quality. In-flight entertainment is also provided for in the form of newspapers, magazines, videos, music, etc. Elderly patients and travelers are all provided extreme care and caution. Infant care is also provided for.
