Pakistan International Airlines or commonly called as PIA is the national airline of Pakistan and the flag carrier as well. When considering Asia, the airline is the sixteenth largest. Scheduled services to numerous destinations are provided by the airlines. The main hub airports of the airline are Jinnah International Airport, Allama Iqbal International Airport, and Islamabad International Airport. Also included in the list of secondary hubs are the Peshawar International Airport, Multan International Airport and the Faisalabad International Airport.
The Pakistan International Airlines were founded in the year 1946. The name of the airlines was however Orient Airways. The initiative was taken by Muhammad Ali Jinnah along with Mirza Ahmad Ispahani. With a present fleet size of 40 aircrafts, a total of around 58 destinations are connected by the airlines and include Hong Kong, Tokyo, Kabul, Dhaka, Delhi, Mumbai, Kuala Lumpur, Manama, Bangkok, Muscat, Doha, Riyadh, Dubai, Al Ain, Milan, Moscow, Amsterdam, Glasgow, Manchester, London, Istanbul, Toronto, New York City, etc.
The Pakistan International Airlines has a codesharing program with Aerosvit Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Thai Airways International and Turkish Airlines. For the travelers, frequent flyer programs, on-flight entertainment, newspapers, magazines, assistance for sick and elderly, kids, etc are also made available to the passengers. A variety of meals are also available in multiple cuisines for the travelers to choose from.
