Palestinian Airlines is a provider of scheduled international services and also pilgrim charter services. The headquarters of the airlines are located in El Arish in Egypt. The hub airport of the airlines is the El Arish International Airport. The Palestinian Airlines is a member of the Arab Air Carriers Organisation. Mr. Saad Edden Kharma is the chairman of the airline company.
The Palestinian Airlines were founded in the year 1995 and after two and half years later, the operations were started in 1997. The initiation was made by charter services to Jeddah carrying pilgrims. The fleet of the airlines has 3 aircrafts which include 1 Boeing 727-200 and 2 Fokker 50 aircrafts. The present destinations which are connected via the Palestinian Airlines are Arish in Egypt at the El Arish International Airport and Amman in Jordan at the Queen Alia International Airport. Previously, services were also provided to Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Dubai, Doha, Istanbul, Jeddah, Larnaca etc.
Even in spite of the difficulties that the Palestinian Airlines has faced, it has made progress and continued the provision of air services to passengers commercially and also for pilgrimages. Meals, beverages, etc are also provided and so is medical assistance which is made available easily.
