Earlier called Leopoldstad, the city of Kinshasa is the largest city and the capital of Democratic Republic of Congo. The city of Kinshasa or Congo Kinshasa as it is commonly called is located on the banks of Congo River. It has the status of both a city and a province. The city was earlier a small fishing village but has now evolved into a modern city with great buildings and good living conditions.
