Santiago is located on the west coast of South America as the capital of a country called Chile. Located in the central valley in Chile, Santiago was founded in the year 1541. Earlier a small town, the city started its course of development in the 1930’s. First the war just after the founding of the city and in the twentieth century, an earthquake affected the development of the city and destroyed some very important buildings.
